Vandy supposed to be redoing James Franklin’s contract to make his $3 million man. He’s got tons coming back and a great recruiting class.
No offer was made to Les Miles. He and Jeff Long have been friends for years, so Long may have asked his advice but he did not offer him the Arkansas job.
Miles’ feelings were still hurt after going 13-0 in the regular season last year and not getting a bump. His feelings aren’t hurt any more.

yes there was an offer Wally.
Please Jason. Tell us your source. Only Jeff Long, Les Miles, and his agent, knows if there was any offer.
your right TCB. those 3 people are the only ones who really know. well except for Longs boss. I’m sure he knows what Long offered Miles.
Ok. So you weren’t there then. Whew, for a minute I thought you had some inside information. Wait, you aren’t Long’s boss are you?
With the talent of Arkansas, Miles wouldn’t win.
How does Wally know there was no offer?
Anyway, if Jeff Long is going to Les Miles seeking advice at this stage of the game, then we’re in trouble.
who is Wally’s source that says there wasnt an offer? Apparantly there was one.
Wally’s sources are lying to him. Thats hillarious!
Good morning Mr. Hall. I congratulate you on your Sunday column. My opinion is, that’s the best you have ever written and I commend you for it. You explained it all Like It Is, as always. Sometime it appears that things happen for a reason and maybe that’s the case with Petrino’s accident. Life will not allow us to get away with treating people wrong, especially our love ones. Judging from the way things are unfolding, Arkansas could now have the best football coach we have in a long time. Of course we need to be patient and give Bielema time to get things established. He is accustomed to being around Hogs. Thanks again for your column; I hope you will be with us a long time. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Regards,
Dwayne
