Chris Petersen

When Chris Petersen was an assistant at Oregon, his youngest son fell from the stands while at practice.
When he threw up Chris and his wife Barbara took him to the doctor, who ordered an MRI, and that was when they discovered he had a brain tumor and cancer.
Petersen’s son, now 12, can never play football but loves talking the game and gets to be a big part of the Boise State program.
Money will not be the only reason Petersen and his family will consider if they decide to take another job.
They are a close family and very spiritual. They made a $150,000 donation to Boise State in 2009. I’m not sure it is a slam dunk he would leave even for Arkansas — Arkansas or California.
