BCS

It seemed odd to look at the BCS standings and there not be a SEC team No. 1 or No. 2 or both.
Alabama’s loss to Texas A&M knocked the Tide to No. 4 and that means they will have to have a lot of help to make it to the BCS Championship in Miami.
Still, the SEC showed its overall strength by claiming No. 4 through No. 10 in the rankings, although some of that may have to do with the fact undefeated Ohio State is ineligible for the BCS.
I don’t vote in the Harris Poll, but if I did, my No. 1 would be Oregon, and they are No. 1 in the Harris, Associated Press and USA Today polls. The computers like Kansas State and that gave it the edge.

Wally, since when is Florida State in the SEC? FSU is #10 in the BCS this week, so you should correct your statement to No. 4 through No. 9 being occupied by the SEC, which is still quite impressive.
