Petrino review continues
It has been five days since Bobby Petrino was put on administrative leave from the University of Arkansas with pay.
With pay generally means the person in question is coming back, and there may have been a couple of subtle hints too.
Jeff Long said Saturday it is a “review’ into Petrino’s “misstep.’
Those are not harsh words. People review books and they misstep walking down the sidewalk.
Meanwhile the whole nation is watching to see what action will be taken.
Something will happen. I doubt Petrino will be fired, although what passenger Jessica Dorrell does or doesn’t say could play a part in that.
More likely Petrino will get a suspension without pay. Not during the season, but this summer, when he really needs to be taking time off so his injuries can heal, and he probably has some work to do at home as well.
Long isn’t in a hurry, and shouldn’t be.
Long, like a large number of fans, will forgive Petrino for his transgressions, but Long’s decision and the UA’s actions will have to be professional as well as personal. The UA’s reputation is at stake too.

The hogs will go back to the sec west’s door mat, instead of the third best team behind lsu and bama.
