Petrino fired
Jeff Long added it all up and it came down to honesty and integrity, not wins and money.
Long terminated Bobby Petrino (21-5 the last two years) because he lied to his bosses, his players and the Razorbacks Nation about an inappropriate relationship with Jessica Dorrell.
Petrino had said he was alone when he had a motorcycle accident on April Fool’s Day. That was a lie, Dorrell was with him.
Petrino, 51, lived the lie until a State Police report revealed Dorrell, 25, was a passenger when he had the wreck.
Just four days earlier Dorrell had gone on the state payroll as an employee of the football department. She worked for Petrino.
Long stated emphatically Petrino had jeopardized the integrity of the University of Arkansas and the football program.
It was obviously a tough time for Long as he stood in front of a statewide TV audience and numerous reporters, but he left there with a strong impression he would find a new coach. A good coach.
Jeff Long hired and fired Bobby Petrino, both with cause.

So does Petrino still have more integrity than the former Ohio State coach that you vilified in more than 8 “Like it is ” columns and what about your earlier blog today that BP would only be slapped on the wrist. Maybe Jeff Long needs to review your record.
Petrino wasn’t the only fool in this April Fool’s Day motorcycle mishap.
Certain Hog Hacks with newspaper columns, blogs, and such who rushed to Petrino’s defense with cries of peace, love, and tenderness find themselves covered in pig slop now.
And readers ain’t gonna forget how those Hog Hacks backin’ Bad Bobby and his Babe, not to mention her $20,000 bonus, sided with the liar with a track record against the school, its football fans, and their own readers.
Time to start a hire Jimmy Johnson grassroots movement! He could come in and save the Hogs. No long term commitment required. Run through the “A” one last time. Right the ship. We’re loaded! Win the national championship next year and the ride off into the sunset! And talk about recruiting Texas!

AD Long should be commended for his stance against a LIAR!! Petrino did this to himself and deserves the punishment! Petrino could care less about Razorback Nation….he is in it for himself!! Our program will survive this!! GO HOGS
