Whitney’s birth month
The trip to Fayetteville for last Saturday’s South Carolina-Arkansas game was great.
Great because Whitney, Rachel and I had the whole day together. My two best friends and me.
I married a huge Razorback fan, and Whitney became one all on her own. I was out numbered in every discussion from 11 a.m. until 1:30 a.m., and loved every minute of it.
There wasn’t anything official about the trip although Whitney celebrates November as her birthday month (a single day isn’t enough for her, and I agree).
It is really hard to believe she is going to be 29, but like Saturday, it has been great.

I appreciate and totally agree with your article this morning about Joe Paterno. This goes way beyond football or how many games or championships he won. The truth is that young innocent boys were violated and abused and no one did anything about it with his and others knowledge. That is not only negligent but criminal. It astounds me that people in PA are not more outraged over what took place, the abuse of the children who trusted people in his program. Shame on everyone of them! I despise and abhor anyone who would intentionally harm any child and I am confident they will eventually get their just reward but until then it’s everyone’s obligation to keep every child safe. I despise Joe Paterno and any others that did not have the morals or courage to protect and defend these boys, before or after the fact. The thought of this happening to one of my grandsons is unimaginable. Joe Paterno is a coward and a criminal for not making what happened known and if he knew what was happening while these abuses were taking place he far worse. Mike Bennett, Malven AR, 501-844-7740
