First game 2010

It is a couple of minutes past 4 p.m. and the students are rolling into Reynolds Razorback Stadium. They make the south end zone a tough place for opponents.

A few of the players have come out and are throwing footballs around. Tyler Wilson and DJ Williams were the first two players out and they naturally migrated to the south end zone.

It is truly a spectacular day for football. I can’t remember many like this. Some fans without seats have already found spots on the grass near the Broyles complex.

The campus, and much of Fayetteville, are a sea of cardinal t-shirts and jerseys.

It may be Tennessee Tech, but the anticipation for this season is much bigger than the opponent. This season has more expectations, enthusiasm and energy among the fans of any that I have ever covered.

Watching the players just warm up you sense how ready they are to hit someone other than other Razorbacks. Their is some extra kick in their step. They really seem to like each other too. Chemistry is incredibly important.

Some of the fans are starting to arrive too, including about 30 for Tennessee Tech.

It may not be a competitive game, but nothing it going to interfere with the fun of the fans and players today.

Beautiful day for football! I really was impressed with Joe Adams. The game could not have been more fun, and the day was capped off with Ole Miss losing. How sweet it is! Sooie!!!
